Memorial day and My birthday

My birthday was Monday, but Jason took me out on Saturday night to celebrate. He took me to the melting pot and while we were there he had flowers delivered to the table. The food was wonderful and the flowers where beautiful. On Monday we celebrated with my family at a cookout. My parents built a pool 2 years ago and we have enjoyed it so very much. I love watching Layla around the pool. Notice I said around the pool. Layla loves to throw things in the pool and to dress up for the occasion. As you can see loved the goggles. She does like swimming to much

Layla's last dance class

On Monday, I got to go to Layla's last dance class. She has been going to a mommy and me ballet class since January. Since I work my mom has been taking her. I was lucky this year since I had Tanner I got to take her while I was on maternity leave. In their last class the kids can change costumes and the parents are allowed to bring cameras and video cameras. I enjoyed watching Layla dance so much. I am amazed by how serious she takes her dance class. She does not smile muchl and she concentrates very hard.

Ballerinas

Earlier this week my sister called me and asked me if I would let Layla be on a billboard for The Georgia Dance Conservatory. This is where Layla takes dance and where my sister works. Of course I said yes. When Saturday rolled around I put Layla is bed early to get a nap and I left to go to Target. When I returned home Layla was still not asleep and it was time to start getting ready to leave. We got to the photo shoot and Layla looked so adorable in her ballerina outfit. She was so well behaved until it was time to place her and take her picture. That was when she decided she wanted nothing to do with these people and she would rather watch the train go by. She refused to get her picture taken, but I did get some pictures myself.

This past week

Layla has been sick with a stomach virus this past week. It has been so gross. It is so much harder when they are little with a stomach virus because you cannot get them to throw up in the toilet. I spent my whole week washing clothes, sheets, and towels. Luckily, layla is back to her normal bossy self. I worked really hard while she was sick to keep her away from the baby which was very hard, but it looks like it has paid off because Tanner has not got sick yet. Thank God.

One night when Layla was sick I decided to paint my toe nails. Layla was fasinated by what I was doing and I decided to try and paint hers. She sat so very still and allowed me to paint them. She also set long enough for them to dry. Which is a miracle. Afterwards, she was so proud of her toes. She keep tell me "Wow mommy, my toes are pretty". She also had to show her toes off to everyone else. Here is a picture of our toes and some from this past Mother's Day at my parent's house.

Tanner's 2 month checkup.

Yesterday I took Tanner to the doctor for his 2 month checkup. It is always an adventure when you have to take a 2 year old along with you during there naptime. Layla tried very hard to behave. Here is a picture of her waiting for the doctor to come in and check out Tanner. Tanner had to get shots and of course I tried very hard not to cry.
He weighed 11 lbs and 5 oz. He was in the 50 percentile for both height and weight which is very different from his sister because she was always in the 100 %.
