Stopping to Smell the Flowers!

Layla has lately decided that she is not going to nap anymore. I am luck if I get her to take a nap a week. Yesterday she told me she was too hot to sleep. Today while Tanner was taking a nap I decided to pick the last of my hydrangeas before the frost kills them. While I was outside Layla asked for one and I took some pictures of her playing outside with her flower.

The Pumpkin Patch

Jason and I decided to take the little ones to a local pumpkin patch this morning. Well, I don't think they grow pumpkins there, but who knows. We didn't want to go anywhere far away r crowded. I think we are like old people, but that is a different blog for a different day. We walked around took some pictures and picked out a pumpkin. Miss Boss had a great time and Captain Drools did too. We picked a pumpkin out and we will be carving it in the coming week.

Here are a couple of pics from our morning.

I made Miss Boss sit next to her brother and she wasn't happy. She didn't want to get her picture made. It is so hard to get a good picture of the 2 of them.

She is already embarrassed by her family.
I just thought this picture was funny.

Tanner is looking at his daddy. What a cutie pie!!!!

Ruthie will you stop bugging me now?

So much has happened in the last couple of weeks. I am tired of getting messages and phone calls from Ruthie (my sister) to put new pictures up. When I told her I didnt have any she named a couple that she actually saw me take so posted them below. Miss Boss went on a field trip with my class a couple of weeks ago. We went to the fair. They had a little petting zoo. She had so much fun.
Here is Miss Boss and Ruthie at our Friday lunch. You might be able to notice all the black specs around her mouth....ah yeah....that is pepper. She ate just pepper at the table and a lot of it. She loved it. It made her happy so I just let her.

Here are some recent pictures of Captain Drools. He is getting so very big and his personality is really starting to come out and it is really scaring Jason and I. He has turned wild. This sweet little baby is starting to act crazy. He is not crawling yet, but that doesn't mean he is not moving around. He rolls until he is on the hardwood floors then he scoots backwards everywhere he wants to go. Numerous times he has scooted and gotten his legs stuck under the sofa. I am really enjoying watching his little personality coming out. We think he is going to be quite a comedian, but of course with Jason as his dad it is not hard to see.

Literary Crack.

So, I know I haven't blogged in a while. I have been sucked into a new fascination with Twilight. I started reading Twilight on Wednesday night. On Friday I picked up the second book. On saturday I read the third book and on Sunday I started the fourth and final book. I must tell you that I loved them. I was totally unable to stop reading. My family and my home where totally neglected. When I was told what they were about I thought that sounds so stupid, but I started hearing several people talk about how good they were so I decided to start reading them. Each book has around 550 pages and the last one has about 750. The movie is coming out in November and I can't even begin to tell you how very excited I am. If you like a good book check it out!
