What a Wonderful Sunday!

The weather has just been so unbelievable. I have enjoyed being able to play outside with my little ones (even though Captain Drools is eating grass, sticks, and whatever else he can get his hands on. Today we went over to my parents house for Sunday lunch (like we always do). After we ate we went outside and just soaked up the wonderful weather. Here is Captain Drools and Pappy (his favorite person).

Look at those sweet baby feet. He is trying to escape to the driveway. While we were playing with Captain Drools, Miss Boss was down at my parents pond fishing with Uncle Luke. Miss Boss has never been fishing before and loved it. She even caught a fish. Can you believe it? It is actually a pretty big fish. We were all so impressed. When it was time to leave to go home Uncle Luke gave her a plastic worm to take with her. Well, Miss Boss loves that worm. She is even sleeping with it right now. She asked me if I could get hims some "covers". So, tomorrow we are making her worm a blanket. Oh, the things that girl thinks of. I love her pose in this picture.

Scissors Anyone?

Well, today has been an interesting day at our house. I woke up from a nice much needed nap to my husband saying "What did you do......Oh no! What did you do?" As a mother, that is not something I love to wake up too. Well J came running into the room with Miss Boss's hand and he was carrying this.......

It turned out Miss Boss was sitting at the kitchen table eating a snack when she spotted some scissors. Now let me tell you she got put on scissor "restriction" this week for cutting my kitchen curtains already. She asked her daddy for some more to eat and when he went in there this is what he found.

I can't believe that she cut her beautiful hair. I was furious with her. I sent her to her room so I could calm down and think about what I was going to do. When I called her back into my room. I told her I was mad and that I can't believe that she cut her hair and I asked her why she did. She just looked at me and she was crying because we have had this conversation over and over again that we only cut paper with scissor. I asked her if she liked it and she said "Yeah". I told her that I did not like it so she asked me if I "could put it back". When I told her I could not she cried and cried and cried.

I spent some time cutting about an inch and a half off of her hair and she is going to have to wear a clip in her hair until her "bangs" grow out. Of course, she will never make a normal look for the camera. Gosh, I love this girl even if she does some crazy things. I guess we will look back on this one day and laugh.

Spring Time Weather!

The weather last weekend was gorgeous so we decided to take the kids to the park. We visited a "new park" (what Miss Boss called it). It was so nice. The sun was shining and we really enjoyed ourselves. Captain Drools tried the swings out and he really did not like them. His face turn bright red and he started crying. The funny thing is this is how Miss Boss acted for the first 2 years of her life. She loves the swings now. We were at the park for 2 hours and the only thing she did was swing and go to the bathroom. Here is the picture I took of the Captain while he was in the swing.

Captain Drools was so sleepy so his Daddy walked him around in the stroller for a while until he fell asleep.....look at those sleepy eyes.
Here is Miss Boss swinging in the really cool swings they had there. They were her favorite kind.
Here she is swinging again. It really is the only thing she would do.

Should I be worried?

Miss Boss gave Captain Drools her baby doll a couple of weeks ago and he has slept with it every night. He loves this baby. I went in there one afternoon and this is how I found him. He sleeps like this all of the time (not with on the baby). I does not look comfortable, but I guess he likes it.

Playing Outside

The weather has been so nice the last couple of days. Captain Drools got a wagon for his birthday from Mimi and Pappy so we decided to go on our first walk and play in the yard. Here are some pictures from our afternoon.

Captain Drools got this lovely sweater from his Aunt R and Uncle D. It is a little monkey. He looks so adorable doesn't he?
Notice it has a tail.

Miss Boss has really gotten into pretend lately. She has been pretending to be a fish lately. Here is her fish face.
I could just eat him up!

I spend the whole time outside whenever we are playing digging grass and sticks out of Captain Drool's mouth.
Look I can stand up, however I don't have any interest in walking.

Snow!

We finally got some snow. Miss Boss has been talking about snow for sometime. Her favorite show is Curious George and he is always playing in the snow. So, when I told her that it was snowing she wanted to go skiing unfortunately we did not have enough snow to go skiing (we never will or have a place to go since our neighborhood doesn't even have a hill.....not to mention equipment and many other reasons). She loved playing in it none the less. Captain Drools was busy sleeping and resting up for his birthday party.

Here are some flowers that were already blooming in the backyard. I had to take a picture of this because I thought it was so pretty up again the snow.

I think he might like cake!

Captain Drools loves to eat and if anyone was curious out there he likes cake. He actually likes it a lot. He dove into his birthday cake and loved every morsel! He was covered so he went to the kitchen sink for a bath!

Did you eat something Miss Boss?
