A Long Day!

On Sundays Miss Boss doesn't always get a nap because we are spending time with family and just enjoying be around one another. Today I feed Miss Boss dinner and told her when she was done she could have some ice cream. I went into the living room to play with Captain Drools for a minute. It became very quiet and I decided to stand up so I could see what Miss Boss was doing. That poor sweet baby girl was asleep at the table. How very precious. I am just so very much in love with this girl!

We have been playing outside all week. The weather has been so wonderful. I love fall and everything about it. This is my favorite time of year.

6 Month Checkup

If you know me at all you know that I lose EVERYTHING. Sometimes I feel that if my head was not attached to my body I would misplace it. I lost the piece you need to upload your pictures to the computer. Thankfully I found it today.

On Thursday (of last week) I took Captain Drools to the doctor for his 6 month checkup. I was guessing he weighed around 20 pounds and I was right. He is 20 lbs. 8ozs. and 26 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for weight and the 50th for height. So, he is short and fat. Got to love that. In comparision to Miss Boss he is smaller. She was in the 100 percentile in height and weight. She only weighs 7 pounds more than Captain Drools now. She is has gained one pound since her first birthday which was over a year and a half ago.

Miss Boss's New Friend

Miss Boss made a new friend today. His name is "Donald". Miss Boss and Donald have done many things to do together today. Here is a picture of her new friend. She loves "Donald".

After a long day of playing. Daddy tucked Miss Boss and Donald into bed together! He even has his own pillow.

I really wish that you would have been able to see Miss Boss with Donald. My mom found him when she was cleaning out some of our stuff at the house. Mom and Dad thought that Miss Boss would maybe play with him for 5 minutes and move on....boy were they wrong. Mom said that Miss Boss told her she wanted to watch him fly so she took him upstairs and threw him over the balcony. Today after work I meet them at McDonald's (looking at Donald made them want a big mac). When I walked in the door Miss Boss was sitting with this blown up Ronald McDonald that she introduced me too as her Donald. When her hamburger arrived she turned to Donald and said "Donald would you like a hamburger" (which she tried to feed him). It was so very funny. The day continued with Donald deflating and layla yelling at him "Donald are you okay...Mommy Help..Oh Donald....Are you okay". Luckily when bathtime came around I was able to get Donald to not take a bath. I really hope that we don't have to take Donald everywhere.....He is kind of creepy looking. This girl is crazy and I LOVE every minute of it.

Captain Drools and I were sitting in the living room playing and I suddenly realized it was very quiet and it had been for a while. That in my house is never a good thing. Miss Boss was somewhere being quiet. I started calling her name and looking for her. I spotted her in Captain Drools room and ran to get the camera. This is what I came across......

BIG vs. Bitty Bitty

I love this video of Miss Boss. Her hair is a wild mess, but this girl is funny and she know it. She goes around the house doing this all day. She is really into BIG and bitty bitty.

Just plain tired!

Since I have gone back to work Tanner has decided he doesn't want to take an afternoon nap. I think he misses me in the morning and doesn't want to give up time with me (that is what I like to think). Today we did our normal routine of me trying to make him go to sleep and him fussing because he doesn't. So he was sitting next to me on the sofa playing while I was trying to unwind from work. I look over at him and this is what I saw..... this poor baby fell asleep sitting straight up on the sofa. How pitiful!

Captain Drools turns 6 months old!

That is right 6 months old. I am still in shock today. I remember when I found out I was pregnant with him I was so very worried that I wouldn't love or even like him as much as Layla. I talked to a couple of people and found out it is a pretty common feeling. Looking back I can't believe I ever thought that. I am so in love with this little baby. But how could you not be. He has the sweetest little spirit and he is always so unbelievably happy. I can't look at him when I feed him without him taking a break to just smile and coo. He is finally starting to babble his "dadadadada". I love it. I can't imagine my life without him. Happy Half Birthday sweet baby boy!
